I first met Mike when I arrived unannounced at “Sports and Classics” with an ever so slightly worn gearbox on my 911 SC, with the additional problem that I was going to work abroad for a couple of months. Without hesitation Mike said he could store the car in his workshop whilst he looked at the gearbox and would have the car ready for my return from abroad. True to his word, the car was ready on my return following the return of the gearbox to an as new condition. It was unusual in this day and age to have to run something in again.
